Destination Round Up with Mary Helen Law

Ready to get vacation happy? Whether you’re sipping wine in Napa, chasing sea turtles in Nevis, or simply lounging on a beach chair you didn’t have to set up yourself (preferably with a strawberry mojito in hand), Mary Helen is here to make it happen. She's rounded up her favorite destinations for every kind of traveler—honeymooners, families, girls’ trips, adventurers, and those who just need a little R&R—so you can spend less time scrolling and more time packing.

Our honeymooners love...

Sicily – Picture medieval hilltop towns, long afternoons in sunlit vineyards, and lingering dinners in candlelit courtyards. Sicily is pure romance, wrapped in history and incredible food.

Greece – Santorini’s whitewashed charm never gets old, but I also love sending couples to the quieter beauty of Paros and Naxos, where the beaches are pristine and life moves at a slower pace.

Caribbean – Whether it’s a private villa in Turks and Caicos, a bungalow in St. Lucia, or a secluded hideaway in Antigua, the Caribbean is all about crystal-clear water, five-star service, and uninterrupted time together.

Our families love...

Four Seasons Resort Nevis – A complimentary kids club, sea turtle conservation programs, monkeys in the treetops, and spacious villas all on a postcard-perfect island.

Disney Cruise Line – Entertainment for every age, endless dining options, and the magic of waking up in a new destination each day.

Banyan Tree Mayakoba – Private pools, nature trails, and a calm lagoon make it perfect for both little adventurers and parents who want to relax.

The Breakers, Palm Beach – Classic elegance, beachfront cabanas, Build-A-Bear, an arcade, and a missive playground, the activities are seemingly endless for all ages

Montage Big Sky, Montana – Year-round mountain luxury, from skiing and snowshoeing in winter to hiking and fly-fishing in summer.

Four Seasons Resort Orlando – A Disney vacation that still feels five-star, with incredible dining, a water park, and a spa for the grown-ups.

Rosewood Little Dix Bay – An island escape in the British Virgin Islands where families can snorkel, sail, and just be together.

If you're looking for a girl's trip...

Palm Beach – The Law Luxury Travel team is heading here in September! Between Four Seasons Palm Beach and The Breakers, we’ll be beaching, shopping, and eating our way through three sunny days.

Napa – Vineyard lunches, mountain-view tastings, and boutique inns perfect for late-night wine by the fire.

New England – Lighthouse views, cozy inns, lobster rolls, and small-town charm, especially in summer or fall.

Harbour Island, Bahamas – It’s having a moment, and there’s a good reason why. Pastel cottages, pink sand beaches, crystal clear water, and the laid-back style of the newly renovated Coral Sands Hotel.

If you're looking for an adventure...

Costa Rica – Zip-lining through the rainforest, soaking in hot springs, and staying at luxury eco-resorts like Tabacón or Nayara Tented Camp, where the days are full of adventure and the evenings full of comfort.

Hawaii – Volcano hikes, paddleboarding, and exploring lush landscapes, all paired with world-class hospitality.

African Safari – Luxury tented camps, close-up wildlife encounters, and sunsets that stop you in your tracks.

If you just want to relax...

Sea Island, Georgia – Private beaches, a beautiful spa, and Southern hospitality that makes it easy to slow down.

Old Edwards Inn, Highlands, NC – Spa days, mountain air, and farm-to-table dining in a charming small-town setting.

Naviva, Mexico – An intimate, nature-focused wellness retreat where every detail feels thoughtful and restorative.

Amanzoe, Greece – A hilltop haven with sweeping views of the Peloponnese, private pools, and an atmosphere of pure serenity, surrounded by olive groves and the Aegean Sea.

If you need a quick getaway...

East Coast – Short flights to Bermuda, Turks and Caicos, The Bahamas, and Mexico (with favorites like Banyan Tree, Rosewood Mayakoba, and Etereo) make it easy to slip into vacation mode fast.

West Coast – Quick trips to Hawaii, California or Oregon wine country, Puerto Vallarta, Los Cabos, or coastal gems like Miramar Beach and Carmel-by-the-Sea keep travel time short and the views spectacular.

Quick Tips:

What’s your go-to airport outfit or carry-on must-have?
The comfiest outfit + this $80 carry-on from Target. I will never cease to sing its praises.

Most unforgettable place you've ever visited?
Prague, Czech Republic - I’ve visited twice, once in middle school and once in college. Something about that city is so magical, and I’m dying to get back.

What destination is currently at the top of your bucket list?
Portugal - specifically the Duoro Valley. We are planning on visiting next year for our 10th wedding anniversary, and I am SO excited!

Any advice for someone planning a big trip for the first time?
Seek out the advice of a trusted expert, whether it be a travel advisor, friend, or destination expert.  We’ve all heard the phrase, “Don’t believe everything you see on the internet,” and that has never been more true. With AI, paid posts, and even fake reviews, authentic, trusted advice is more valuable than ever.
