Part-Time Retail Sales Associate – Sunshine Tienda (Gruene, TX)
Role Purpose
As a Retail Associate, you are the face of Sunshine Tienda. Your mission is to provide an exceptional, "vacation-style" shopping experience. You will guide guests through our collections of handcrafted jewelry, palm hats, and resort wear, ensuring every visitor leaves feeling a bit more "Vacation Happy."
Key Responsibilities
Customer Engagement: Greet guests with warmth and Texas charm. Actively assist customers in styling jewelry, finding the perfect hat fit, and selecting resort-ready outfits.
Product Expertise: Maintain deep knowledge of our handcrafted goods, the artisans we partner with, and our unique on-site services like monogramming.
Visual Merchandising: Keep the "vibrant escape" aesthetic alive by neatly folding apparel, restocking displays, and ensuring jewelry cases are sparkling and organized.
Sales & POS: Process transactions accurately using the boutique’s point-of-sale system. Handle returns and exchanges with a solution-oriented mindset.
Store Upkeep: Participate in daily opening/closing procedures, including light cleaning and organizing the sales floor to maintain a high-end boutique environment.
Community Ambassador: Stay informed about Gruene events and local information to act as a helpful guide for tourists visiting the area.
Requirements & Qualifications
Personality: Friendly, proactive, and passionate about colorful fashion and accessories.
Experience: Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred, especially in a boutique or high-volume tourist setting.
Communication: Strong verbal skills with the ability to build quick, authentic connections with customers.
Availability: Must be able to work weekends and holidays, as Gruene is a high-traffic destination during these times.
Physical: Ability to stand for long periods, climb ladders for hat displays, and lift up to 30 lbs.
