Yes, it's meant to be worn when you're at the pool and beach! We do not recommend submerging your hat in the water but it’s fine if you're splashing around. Our palm hats are formed with water, so if it does get soaked, not to worry!... Simply re-shape with your hands and let dry in the sun.
If you’re in between sizes, we recommend sizing up and adding hat sizing tape. It’s an adhesive foam tape that fits right under your hat’s inner lining. Add and take away as much as you need for the best fit. The more you use, the more snug the fit.
Store your hat on a flat surface so that the brim can flatten if needed.
If hat tape doesn’t help and it’s just not a fit for you, no problem! We're happy to accept the return. Just complete our return form and we’ll get back to you within 1 business day with a return label. You'll receive a refund or exchange but please make sure the hat is not worn and is shipped back to us in its original packaging. This is excluding FINAL SALE hats.
These hats are effective as protection against solar ultraviolet radiation (UVR) as it has an ultraviolet protection factor (UPF) greater than 55. A material with a rating of UPF 50+ reduces the amount of solar UVR by more than a factor of 55 (or >99% of both UVA and UVB radiation). A UPF rating of 50+ meets the EXCELLENT UV protection rating. The UPF rating is for the measurable areas of the hat only and does not address the design of the product. That is to say a hat can only protect skin that is covered by the material.
